Associate Engineer – Product Development

About the role

Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is looking for an Associate Engineer Product to support product development and sustaining engineering activities. The role involves creating and modifying 3D CAD models, preparing technical documentation, and assisting with new‑product‑introduction (NPI) and legacy product updates under senior guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and modify 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks, following established standards.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and reports for connectors and cable assemblies.
• Support NPI projects and legacy product changes, including engineering change requests (CR/CO) in ENOVIA PLM.
• Participate in cross‑functional teams with manufacturing, quality, and supply‑chain to resolve product issues.
• Assist in testing, validation, and qualification activities, providing documentation and support during execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Aerospace Engineering (completed or in progress) with 0–2 years of engineering experience.
• Basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals, drawing standards, and GD&T concepts.
• Familiarity with structured problem‑solving methods such as DFSS or 8D.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in a global, team‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• SolidWorks (3D CAD modeling and drawing creation).
• ENOVIA or other PLM systems for engineering change management.
• Understanding of GD&T fundamentals.
• Basic exposure to DFSS and 8D problem‑solving methodologies.
• Knowledge of product design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
