Auditor – Internal Audit (Latin America & Caribbean)

About the role

Mastercard is seeking an Auditor to join its Internal Audit team, focusing on the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region. Reporting to the Internal Audit Director, Americas, the role works closely with global colleagues and the Internal Audit Technology team to provide independent assurance and advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to assurance and advisory projects across markets, technologies, products, and services as defined in the annual audit plan.
• Understand and assess specific risks (technology, strategic, operational, financial, legal, regulatory) and develop risk‑based testing procedures.
• Document workpapers accurately and timely, evaluating compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Assess control design adequacy and operating effectiveness, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Develop draft reportable issues, analyze root causes, and partner with management to formulate remediation actions.
• Collaborate with the technology audit team and other risk functions to strengthen Mastercard’s three‑lines‑of‑defense model.

Required profile

• Experience in internal audit, risk management, or related assurance functions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail and big‑picture thinking.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the capacity to work effectively in global, cross‑functional teams.
• Familiarity with regulatory and governance requirements in the LAC region.
