Band 6 Midwife – Antenatal Outpatient Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Midwife to join the Antenatal Outpatient Services of NHS Fife. The role offers a varied and rewarding experience across high‑risk obstetric clinics, community midwifery teams and specialist outpatient settings, supporting around 3,000 births each year.

Key responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex antenatal care to women and families in outpatient settings.
• Collaborate closely with obstetricians, multidisciplinary teams and community services.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement and innovation initiatives.
• Act as a practice assessor and supervisor for student midwives.
• Participate in specialist midwifery education and ongoing CPD programmes.

Required profile

• NMC‑registered Midwife with a degree qualification.
• Passionate about woman‑ and family‑centred care.
• Strong communicator and effective team player.
• Motivated to lead, support and develop people and services.
