Bid and Proposal Specialist – Packaging Solutions

About the role

ABB is looking for a Bid and Proposal Specialist to create and manage bids, estimations and quotations for packaging and integrated solutions (MV drives, motors, E‑house and auxiliaries) across LATAM. You will work in a hybrid model, collaborating with sales, engineering, finance and legal teams to deliver competitive and profitable proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare budgetary values and detailed cost breakdowns for sales teams and customers.
• Develop technical and commercial documentation, including product selection, price sheets and cash‑flow analysis.
• Coordinate inputs from multiple stakeholders across countries to ensure timely, compliant proposals.
• Engage with customers and sales teams to clarify requirements and align technical and commercial aspects.
• Identify and manage risks in bids, working with Legal, Business Risk and Trade Compliance.
• Maintain bid archives, report status in defined tools and support win/loss analysis.
• Manage external suppliers and contractors involved in bid preparation.

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in bid management or commercial estimation in an industrial environment is preferred.
