Chief Audit Executive

About the role

WHO&Co. is looking for an accomplished Chief Audit Executive to lead the Internal Audit function of a large multinational organization. This senior leader will strengthen corporate governance, enhance risk management, and drive the transformation of the audit function while serving as a trusted advisor to Executive Leadership and the Audit Committee.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Internal Audit strategy and annual risk‑based audit plan.
• Oversee corporate audits and ensure effective implementation of corrective action plans.
• Present findings, insights, and recommendations to Executive Leadership and the Audit Committee.
• Promote the use of data analytics, technology, and agile methodologies within the audit function.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Internal Audit team.
• Advise business units on internal controls, risk management, governance, and process transformation.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading Internal Audit functions in multinational or highly complex organizations.
• Extensive background in audit, risk management, governance, and internal control frameworks.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience presenting to Executive Leadership and Audit Committees.
• Track record of driving transformation through technology, data analytics, and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
