Clinical Research Physician

About the role

ICON plc is seeking a Clinical Research Physician to lead and oversee clinical trials, ensuring ethical conduct and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to drive high‑quality research that advances patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute clinical trial protocols in line with scientific and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor patient safety and ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to analyse study data and provide medical insights for decision‑making.
• Engage with investigators and study sites to maintain protocol adherence and facilitate successful trial execution.
• Contribute to the preparation of regulatory submissions and clinical study reports.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD) with relevant clinical research experience.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial processes and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent clinical assessment skills and a commitment to patient safety and ethical research.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Willingness to travel to study sites (approximately 20% of time).
