Commissioning Manager, Data Center Construction Projects

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Commissioning Manager to lead data centre construction projects on‑site. The role focuses on end‑to‑end commissioning of MEP systems for hyperscale or mission‑critical facilities, ensuring performance, safety and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and close commissioning activities for data centre MEP systems.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate with contractors, designers and client representatives.
• Develop and maintain detailed commissioning schedules, cost forecasts and resource plans.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Document test results, handover packages and lessons learned for at least three mission‑critical projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of construction or commissioning experience.
• At least 8 years of direct commissioning experience on MEP systems in hyperscale data centres or other mission‑critical projects.
• Proven experience managing project teams and delivering end‑to‑end commissioning for multiple large‑scale projects.
• Strong background in construction scheduling, cost control and resource management.
• Fluent in both Spanish and English.
