Compliance Officer – Santiago, Chile

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Compliance Officer to lead regulatory compliance for our Chilean money‑transfer platform. Based in Santiago, you will act as the primary liaison with the Unidad de Análisis Financiero (UAF) and ensure our operations meet all local legal requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the designated Oficial de Cumplimiento before the UAF, handling inspections, regulatory engagement and reporting.
• Design, implement and continuously improve a compliance framework aligned with Taptap Send Group standards.
• Ensure adherence to Chilean laws such as Ley N° 19.913, Ley N° 20.818, Ley N° 21.234 and relevant UAF circulars.
• Manage regulatory reporting, including Reportes de Operaciones Sospechosas (ROS) and Reportes de Operaciones en Efectivo (ROE).
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures and the Manual de Prevención de Lavado de Activos y Financiamiento del Terrorismo (LA/FT) for Chile.
• Conduct compliance testing, monitoring and prompt remediation of identified issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, AML or regulatory roles within the financial services sector.
• Deep knowledge of Chilean financial regulations and reporting obligations to the UAF.
• Currently residing in Santiago or willing to relocate.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently.
