Constructibility Field Engineer

About the role

The Constructibility Field Engineer will support and advise the supervision and organization of construction activities for the Ujina Growth Project in the Tarapacá Region of Chile. Working on‑site in Iquique, the engineer will coordinate with the client’s Construction Management (CM) team and ensure that contractor work aligns with design, safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and monitor contractors’ construction schedules and resource diagrams.
• Evaluate and advise on construction methods proposed by contractors.
• Support the monitoring of planned and executed work methods to guarantee safety and design compliance.
• Verify installation of materials and equipment against drawings, technical specifications, supplier requirements and project quality standards.
• Apply risk‑management policies, ensuring work permits, critical controls and preventive measures are in place before and during execution.
• Assist the CM team in achieving zero‑accident objectives on the site.

Required profile

• Experience supporting construction supervision and coordination on large‑scale mining or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work closely with client CM teams and contractors.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling and risk‑management processes.
• Willingness to work on‑site in a remote, high‑altitude environment.
