Contract Manager, Data Center Construction Projects

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a skilled Contract Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of contracts for a mission‑critical data centre construction project. The role works closely with procurement, construction, legal, finance and project controls to ensure contractual compliance and optimal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day contract administration, including scope tracking, variations, invoicing and claims.
• Monitor contractor performance against schedule, cost, quality and safety obligations.
• Identify and escalate risks, disputes or non‑compliance issues promptly.
• Serve as the primary interface between construction management, legal, finance and external contractors.
• Support commercial and technical discussions on change management, risk allocation and contract interpretation.
• Maintain audit‑ready records and prepare contract status reports, risk summaries and performance dashboards for leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law, Construction Management or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in contract, commercial or procurement management for construction, real estate or industrial projects.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Experience supporting CAPEX projects (civil works, MEP, equipment supply or installation).

Required skills

• Strong understanding of contract terms, commercial principles and risk management.
• Negotiation and analytical skills for interpreting complex documentation.
• Knowledge of FIDIC, EPC, Design‑Build or Lump‑Sum contracting models.
• Familiarity with contract management systems, ERP platforms or e‑procurement tools.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., PMI, CIPS) are a plus.
