Contract Specialist (Lawyer)

About the role

Huawei Technologies is seeking a Contract Specialist with a legal background to lead commercial bidding, contract negotiation and compliance activities for its telecom and IT projects in Chile. The role combines legal expertise with commercial acumen to support the full lifecycle of contract management, from proposal development to post‑signing support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead integrated commercial solutions for bidding projects, including proposal development, cost and risk analysis, and post‑bid clarifications.
• Organise internal contract reviews and approvals to ensure smooth project bidding and execution.
• Conduct commercial negotiations, coordinating finance, legal, tax and logistics teams.
• Draft sales contracts, provide post‑signing support and optimise review/approval processes.
• Analyse market data to design business models that reduce risks and costs.
• Ensure compliance with Chilean legal frameworks and international trade conventions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in contract negotiation, international bidding, trade or finance, preferably in telecom/IT.
• Experience handling legal or contractual matters, such as a lawyer role, is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
