Cost Control Professional - Data Center Projects

About the role

Turner & Townsend, a global consultancy active in real estate, infrastructure and natural resources, is looking for a Cost Control Professional to join its Data Center projects team in Santiago. The role suits someone who enjoys controlling the finances of large-scale construction projects, analysing costs and adding value through efficient management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project budgets covering labour, materials, equipment and services.
• Carry out cost analysis and financial forecasts to ensure budget compliance.
• Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present cost and progress reports to stakeholders and project teams.
• Work with construction, procurement and contractual teams to plan and control costs.
• Spot savings opportunities and efficiency improvements in design and execution.
• Manage external quantity surveyors and validate construction cost estimates.
• Maintain historical cost databases and track financial KPIs with monthly reporting.
• Ensure SOX controls are met where applicable.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in cost control or cost engineering, ideally in data center or large-scale infrastructure construction.
• Degree in engineering, construction management, finance or a related field.
• Advanced English.
