Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (m/f/d)

About the role

The Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) ensures the reliable operation of all electrical and mechanical infrastructure within an AWS data centre. You will work hands‑on with UPS systems, medium‑voltage electrical equipment, generators, cooling units and building automation to maintain 100 % uptime for customer‑facing services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and corrective actions on UPS, MV electrical systems, diesel generators, switchgear, PDUs, AHUs and fire detection systems.
• Execute critical switching activities and on‑site interventions following AWS safety and operational procedures.
• Monitor facility performance via BMS/PMS, conduct walkthroughs and document incidents.
• Support build‑out and retrofit projects for data‑center infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain method statements, SOPs, emergency response plans and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence.

Required profile

• Self‑driven individual with a strong safety mindset.
• Ability to work on a 24 × 7 schedule and at heights or ladders.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
