Director of Communications

About the role

Food Impact Partners is seeking a Director of Communications to lead the “Attract” function – the top‑of‑funnel engine that brings new supporters into the animal‑rights movement across Latin America. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will act as a movement‑growth marketer, designing campaigns and content systems that reach millions, convert them into opted‑in supporters, and feed a pipeline of future activists.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage high‑impact public campaigns that generate emotional resonance and attract new audiences, with multiple peaks each year.
• Develop and execute a bilingual (Portuguese and Spanish) social‑media strategy across all platforms.
• Own the digital‑marketing funnel: lead‑generation, supporter journey, and optimization from first touch to opt‑in lists (email, WhatsApp) and hand‑off to activist recruitment.
• Build and oversee a network of digital ambassadors – an affiliate‑style program of creators who amplify campaigns and generate leads.
• Guard the brand’s bold, rebellious voice, ensuring consistency across every touchpoint.
• Track and report on the Attract scorecard, including campaign reach, list growth, platform followers, and conversion rates.

Required profile

• Growth‑oriented marketer and storyteller with a proven track record of building audiences and conversion funnels.
• Data‑driven mindset: comfortable testing, measuring, and explaining campaign performance.
• Strong writing and creative direction skills in Portuguese and/or Spanish.
• Deep understanding of Latin‑American internet culture and what makes content viral.
• Self‑starter who thrives in zero‑to‑one environments, embraces ambiguity, and works resourcefully.
• Passionate commitment to ending industrial animal exploitation.

Required skills

• Fluency in Portuguese or Spanish (English optional).
• Experience with Claude or similar AI content‑creation platforms.
