Endoscope Technician I

About the role

Olympus is seeking an Endoscope Technician I to perform technical inspections and less‑complex repairs on Olympus endoscopic equipment at its Santiago service laboratory. The role focuses on maintaining high service quality, ensuring timely repairs, and supporting the cleaning and preparation of flexible endoscopes for inspection.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical inspection of entry and exit to maintain service quality and timely provision of less‑complex repairs.
• Disassemble, repair, re‑assemble, and conduct final functional tests on Olympus equipment following established procedures.
• Clean, disinfect and dry flexible endoscopes, preparing them for inspection and part replacement.
• Prepare budgets based on technical inspections and ensure repairs comply with manufacturer procedures.
• Maintain and improve the quality control system in the service laboratory, including tool organization and equipment tracking.
• Document all actions in company systems, update inspection forms, and ensure traceability of services.
• Report process improvements, discrepancies, and deviations in a timely manner.
• Handle laboratory supplies, tools and equipment responsibly and follow all safety and quality policies.

• Ability to follow Olympus procedures and quality management system guidelines.
• Commitment to accurate documentation and traceability of service activities.
• Willingness to work onsite in Santiago and use company resources responsibly.

Required skills

• Use of ENDONAVANI system for repair diagnostics.
