Entry Level Field Engineer Mechanic (TFA FEP)

About the role

As an Entry Level Field Engineer Mechanic you will join GE Vernova’s FieldCore Field Engineering Program (FEP). The program combines classroom and on‑the‑job training to develop technical expertise, lean thinking and leadership while you travel to customer sites supporting industrial power generation equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate site activities for installation, preventive maintenance, repair and calibration of gas/steam turbine equipment.
• Perform on‑site installation of systems and respond to emergency repair requests.
• Provide technical instruction to customer representatives on operation, calibration and maintenance.
• Prepare technical reports, job status updates, material orders and quotations.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate enrolled in the Field Engineering Program.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work on industrial power generation rotating equipment.
• Commitment to safety, environmental policies and EHS standards.

Required skills

• Interpretation of electrical, mechanical flow and instrument diagrams.
• Dial and laser alignment techniques.
• Use of thermal growth measurement equipment.
• Installation, preventive maintenance, calibration and emergency repair of turbine equipment.
• Technical reporting and documentation.
