Field Designer – Construction Automation

About the role

The Field Designer will lead construction automation initiatives for the Ujina Growth Project in the Tarapacá Region of Chile. Working on‑site at the mining area, you will combine database management, programming, and 3D visualization to support the detailed engineering and procurement of flotation cells and related infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret project scope, drawings, and specifications to develop construction packages.
• Create engineering and construction plans, schemes, and detailed drawings.
• Manage project databases and generate regular performance and progress reports.
• Extract Navisworks model images and produce graphical weekly reports on supply status and installation progress.
• Provide multidisciplinary field design support across civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and piping disciplines.
• Continuously learn and apply new tools and methods to improve automation solutions.

Required profile

• Experience in construction or mining engineering environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate technical data into clear visual reports.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous learning and problem solving.

Required skills

• Navisworks for 3D model extraction and visualization.
• Database management and report generation.
• Programming skills for automation tasks.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling and CAD tools.
