Financial Controller

About the role

IC Markets Global is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee all financial activities for its Chile operations. The role ensures compliance with Chilean accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting while supporting the regional finance team based in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Close monthly financials accurately and report to the Finance Team in the UAE.
• Maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and submit regulatory returns and other statutory filings to Chilean authorities.
• Perform inter‑company and intra‑group reconciliations and book inter‑company invoices promptly.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, banking relationships, and cash flow to sustain operations.
• Process supplier invoices in coordination with the UAE AP team.
• Run monthly payroll, manage deductions and contributions, and ensure legal compliance together with the Payroll Accountant.
• Liaise with auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
• Undertake ad‑hoc assignments as requested by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Chilean tax regulations.
• Experience with regulated brokers in the CFD/Forex sector.
• Familiarity with regulated entities under the Chile Financial Market Commission.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Xero accounting software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
