Financial Controlling Specialist

About the role

The Financial Controlling Specialist will lead core financial controlling, reporting and accounting execution for Roche Diagnostics Chile. Reporting to the Country Finance Manager, you will partner with the Shared Service Center in Costa Rica and the LATAM Finance Team to ensure accurate financial insight and process excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports and performance presentations, comparing actual results to budgets, forecasts and KPIs.
• Drive cost discipline by tracking operating expenses, analysing variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Lead the affiliate’s annual financial planning cycles (1‑to‑4‑year horizon) and coordinate inputs across all departments.
• Oversee month‑end closing activities, ensuring alignment with IFRS and internal accounting guidelines.
• Promote operational excellence through simplification, standardisation and automation of processes and reports.
• Ensure compliance with financial governance, internal controls and established procedures.
• Provide day‑to‑day guidance and task support to the Finance Trainee.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, cost controlling or financial accounting, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex numbers into actionable insights.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and continuous‑learning mindset.
