Freelance Compliance Analyst – AI Trainer

About the role

This freelance position supports AI projects by applying regulatory expertise to test, evaluate, and improve AI systems. You will work on a project‑by‑project basis, providing precise compliance analysis and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evaluate rule‑application scenarios by comparing compliance artifacts (advertisements, disclosures, policies) against specific regulations and citing exact subsections.
• Write sanctions‑alert disposition cases with structured false‑positive reasoning and escalation documentation.
• Build compliance testing scenarios, including sample selection, test design, findings documentation, and examiner‑ready conclusion memos.
• Develop policy‑gap identification cases where internal policies are silent, contradictory, or outdated relative to regulations.
• Document all test cases with verified regulatory citations, ensuring no approximations or fabrications.

Required profile

• Degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in compliance, audit, legal, risk management, or financial services.
• Current or recent experience in compliance & regulatory roles, financial crimes, or adjacent functions.
• Strong citation discipline – ability to pinpoint exact regulatory subsections and flag uncertainty.
• Professional credentials such as CRCM, CAMS, or equivalent are a strong plus; former regulatory examiner or inspector status is also valued.
• Excellent written English (C1+ level).

• Proficiency in drafting structured compliance documentation and test designs.
• Experience creating examiner‑ready memos and policy‑gap analyses.
