Golang Engineer (Remote, Chile)

About the role

We are seeking a Golang Engineer to join a globally distributed, fully remote engineering organization. Based in Chile, you will help build and scale high‑performance systems that power enterprise, cloud, AI, and IoT ecosystems worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust Go‑based software systems with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production and user‑facing issues across distributed services.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions with global teams.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external contributors to refine specifications and improve system architecture.
• Enhance engineering workflows, deployment pipelines, and observability tooling.
• When needed, deploy, monitor, and operate services in production environments.
• Support product success through technical advocacy, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience building production‑grade software in Golang, preferably on Linux.
• Deep familiarity with Linux systems (Ubuntu or Debian) and system‑level concepts.
• Experience with distributed systems, APIs, and scalable backend architectures.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication and strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel internationally twice a year for team gatherings.
