Healthcare Specialist (Part-time Remote)

About the role

The Healthcare Specialist will provide part‑time, remote support to ensure community health, safety, and well‑being during events and programs within the Avalanche ecosystem. You will offer basic medical guidance, respond to health‑related inquiries, and advise on safe participation for both virtual and in‑person activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide basic medical guidance within scope of practice and answer health‑related questions.
• Advise on best practices for safe participation in community events.
• Create, review, and update health and safety guidelines.
• Assist with risk assessments and ensure medical preparedness for events.
• Coordinate with organizers and cross‑functional teams to align on health protocols.
• Contribute to internal training content on wellness, emergency response, and community care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with healthcare standards and regulations.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in clinical practice with experience in medicine and EMT or equivalent pre‑hospital/emergency care.
• Proven ability to deliver clear health, safety, or emergency response training.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining medical concepts to non‑medical audiences.
• Background in patient advocacy, confidentiality, and evidence‑based practice.
• Relevant certification or licensure (e.g., EMT, nurse, physician) in good standing.
• Experience working remotely in a part‑time, distributed environment.
• Comfort with digital collaboration tools and interest in technology, gaming, or Web3 communities.
