HVAC Design Engineer / Mechanical Specialist (Remote – Chile)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to join a US‑based construction client’s engineering team. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in Chile while following a New York (EST) schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models and construction‑ready HVAC shop drawings using Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP.
• Design and coordinate mechanical HVAC systems, including ductwork sizing, equipment layout, and piping distribution for commercial and residential projects.
• Apply ASHRAE standards and relevant US mechanical codes to ensure compliant, constructible designs.
• Perform clash detection and spatial coordination with architectural, structural, plumbing, and electrical disciplines using Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Review mechanical plans and specifications, identify constructability issues, and propose practical solutions.
• Maintain organized drawing revisions, technical documentation, and quality‑control reviews.

Required profile

• Advanced technical English (B2+/C1) and ability to work in an EST schedule.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC design, mechanical engineering, or MEP coordination.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Resident of Chile and eligible to work remotely from the country.
