Instrumentation & Controls Technician

About the role

The Instrumentation & Controls Technician joins GE Vernova’s FieldCore team to disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, calibrate, test and maintain field instruments and control systems for gas power generation equipment. The role supports both scheduled maintenance and unscheduled troubleshooting to ensure reliable and efficient operation of critical energy infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Record and report abnormal or out‑of‑tolerance equipment conditions and initiate corrective actions.
• Document daily inspection, maintenance, repair and calibration activities according to approved procedures.
• Reinstall, test, evaluate, calibrate and maintain instruments after repairs.
• Communicate with customer staff regarding calibration, repair and equipment operation.
• Perform work following equipment, calibration, maintenance and safety guidelines.
• Travel extensively, including international and domestic assignments, and work holidays, weekends and overtime as required.

Required profile

• Two‑year degree in a scientific field or equivalent related work experience.
• Relevant license or certification where required by law.
• Proficiency in English.
• Willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime.
• Ability to travel extensively for field assignments.
