Internal Auditor – Terminal & Infrastructure

About the role

Hapag-Lloyd is looking for an experienced Internal Auditor to join its Corporate Audit team. You will focus on terminal and infrastructure operations, applying audit methodologies to ensure robust risk management and compliance across the global shipping network.

Key responsibilities

• Execute audit testing, data analysis, and process reviews within defined scopes.
• Document findings clearly and produce high‑quality audit reports with actionable recommendations.
• Assess risks, controls, and compliance in assigned areas, raising observations proactively.
• Identify process‑improvement and efficiency opportunities during fieldwork.
• Collaborate closely with Managers and Senior Managers to ensure smooth engagement execution.
• Develop technical and consultative skills through audits, advisory projects, and special investigations.
• Stay current with company operations and industry developments to bring relevant insights into audit work.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional auditing experience, preferably in terminal and infrastructure environments.
• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a comparable qualification.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities; autonomous, goal‑oriented, and team‑focused.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
