Junior Legal Counsel Americas

About the role

Murex is seeking a Junior Legal Counsel to support its Americas business. The role focuses on negotiating and managing B2B commercial and technology contracts across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and manage software licensing, SaaS, maintenance and professional services agreements with financial institutions and multinational clients.
• Support pre‑sales activities by preparing NDAs, responding to RFI/RFPs and creating internal guidelines.
• Assist the sales team with day‑to‑day contract administration, compliance requests and issue tracking.
• Negotiate partnership, consultancy and training agreements in collaboration with the Alliance Management team.
• Review and negotiate technology, connectivity and vendor contracts for the broader Murex group.
• Monitor regional regulatory developments, including data privacy, AI policy and other legal matters affecting the Americas.

Required profile

• J.D. or LLM with bar admission.
• 3‑5 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm, multinational, or financial institution.
• Excellent written and spoken English; native or fluent Spanish (Portuguese a plus).
• Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Interest in technology, fintech, SaaS and capital markets.
