Junior Software Engineer – Remote (Chile)

About the role

Sezzle is looking for a talented and motivated Junior Software Engineer to join a fast‑growing, dynamic team. You will assist in designing, developing, and installing software solutions, writing code, and documenting functionality while building high‑quality, innovative software that meets our coding standards.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
• Collaborate with the team to develop new features for both backend and frontend.
• Evaluate, deploy, and monitor software tools, processes, and metrics.
• Provide support and consulting on software system usage.
• Ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards.

Required profile

• Experience with single‑page web applications (SPA).
• Background in backend API development.
• Familiarity with relational database storage and retrieval.
• Knowledge of software engineering tools, methodologies, and release processes.
• Hands‑on experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
