Lead Senior Estimator - Data Center Construction

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join its team and support large-scale construction projects and programs, including data center construction. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a proven track record of accurate estimating services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design, working with internal and external staff
• Present updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones
• Provide program-level estimates for specific scopes of work
• Coordinate, manage and supervise support staff
• Review proposed design changes and new technologies and prepare estimates at the right accuracy levels
• Analyze cost information from completed projects to help drive cost model trends
• Assess the cost effectiveness of alternative products and value engineering ideas at program level
• Support training of development and external estimating teams on new estimating tools and templates
• Support leadership presentations for the client's preconstruction and estimating team
• Deliver life cycle costing models

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or a related field
• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in a construction cost management role such as Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator or Cost Engineer
• Experience providing conceptual estimating and preconstruction services for mining or industrial projects
• Excellent communication skills and advanced English proficiency
