Managing Director

About the role

Our client, a leading international manufacturing group, is seeking a Managing Director to lead its Chilean site. The role carries full P&L responsibility and requires a commercial growth mindset combined with operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full P&L of the Chilean site, driving revenue, margin, profitability and cost control.
• Lead the site as the senior decision‑maker, ensuring alignment with regional and group strategy.
• Develop new business opportunities, expand existing customer relationships and act as the face of the company to major clients.
• Oversee production, operations, supply chain, HR, finance and sales, improving plant performance through continuous improvement and capacity utilization.
• Lead, coach and develop the local team, building trust with long‑tenured employees and creating accountability across functions.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in high‑volume, technology‑driven manufacturing (e.g., converting, printing, packaging, advanced materials).
• Strong background in managing complex production environments and delivering operational and financial improvements.
• Demonstrated track record of commercial growth and P&L management.
• Good knowledge of the Chilean wine market.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Willingness to work on‑site and be closely involved in day‑to‑day plant operations.
