Mechanical Engineer – Associate (Santiago, Chile)

About the role

Flowserve is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Associate to join its Santiago plant. You will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly and testing, while supporting production teams with technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Design parts and mechanical seal assemblies following corporate standards, API 682 and customer specifications.
• Maintain engineering documentation and systems up to date.
• Select sealing systems, interpret customer specifications and assess applicability.
• Develop project documentation such as datasheets and manuals.
• Provide technical support to production, purchasing, sales and other departments.
• Lead projects from start‑up to commissioning and attend technical meetings with customers.
• Generate bills of materials for seal drawings and auxiliary systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or an advanced engineering student.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in oral and written English.
• Ability to work under pressure with a focus on meeting objectives.
• Strong moral and ethical values and good interpersonal skills.
