Medical Manager

About the role

Abbott is seeking a Medical Manager to join its Commercial Office in Providencia, Santiago. The role bridges medical expertise with commercial activities, supporting marketing, sales, training, clinical research, pharmacovigilance and regulatory affairs for a portfolio of branded generic medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical and scientific support to functional areas, including the sales force.
• Participate in the development, review and approval of promotional materials for assigned products.
• Develop and maintain relationships with medical societies, opinion leaders, researchers and health authorities.
• Support scientific evaluation of business opportunities and ensure compliance with SOPs, local health regulations and pharmacovigilance requirements.
• Review and implement changes in product prescribing information, aligning with the Company Core Data Sheet.
• Strengthen the affiliate’s clinical research activities for the assigned portfolio.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD) – required.
• At least 3 years of experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Good understanding of medical affairs operations and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Strong written and oral English communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal and organizational abilities.
