Mid-level QA Engineer – Test Automation & CI/CD

About the role

Xe is rebuilding the platform layer for cross‑border payments and needs a mid‑level QA engineer who owns quality from test design through release gating and production observability. You will use AI‑assisted tools daily to catch issues before they affect money movement.

Key responsibilities

• Build integration test harnesses, contract tests and automation for payment flows, KYC, FX, settlement and partner APIs.
• Design and maintain CI/CD quality gates, including release‑blocking signals, flaky‑test triage and test infrastructure health.
• Investigate production incidents, translate findings into automated tests and process improvements.
• Write manual test cases where appropriate and automate them using Playwright or equivalent frameworks.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of production test‑automation experience with end‑to‑end coverage.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with engineering, product and compliance teams.

Required skills

• JavaScript, TypeScript, Python or C# for test automation.
• SQL and relational database fundamentals.
• API testing tools such as Postman or Bruno.
• UI automation frameworks like Playwright or Cypress.
• Experience with AWS and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Daily use of AI coding assistants (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) and AI test‑generation tools.
