.NET Modernization Engineer (Remote)

About the role

The .NET Modernization Engineer will lead the transformation of legacy monolithic applications into modern micro‑services architectures. You will work remotely with a global team, ensuring core business logic is preserved while improving scalability, maintainability, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Decompose monolithic systems into independent, scalable micro‑services using proven design patterns.
• Design and implement robust RESTful APIs for communication between modernized components.
• Refactor legacy codebases (C# WebForms, VB, older Java) to align with clean‑code standards and current frameworks.
• Integrate automated CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery and ensure consistent deployments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define modernization roadmaps that minimize downtime and risk.
• Optimize application performance and security by leveraging cloud‑native infrastructure.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of software engineering experience with .NET or Java stacks.
• Proven track record modernizing legacy monolithic applications into micro‑services.
• Strong ability to design APIs, plan decomposition strategies, and refactor code.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and RESTful migrations.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
