Ocean Export Customer Service Representative

About the role

Join Expeditors' Ocean Export department and ensure the smooth, timely movement of freight while delivering exceptional customer service. You will act as a key liaison between customers, carriers, and internal teams, supporting global trade operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end freight process flow to guarantee on‑time shipments.
• Enter accurate data into the operational system and maintain up‑to‑date records.
• Track and trace ocean export files, generate reports, and communicate status updates.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external government regulations.
• Identify and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain and update customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the DLSOPs system.
• Respond promptly to internal and external email inquiries.
• Escalate issues to management when necessary.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of related experience or equivalent education/training.
• Familiarity with ocean documentation processes is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Pro‑active attitude with strong organizational abilities.
• Hazardous Materials certification preferred.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
