Operational Continuity Engineer

About the role

The Hosting Operational Continuity Engineer will manage and govern the Industrial Application Server Platform that runs the client’s production processes. The position works on a 7x7 shift schedule (12‑hour shifts) and requires hands‑on administration of both virtual and physical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide subject‑matter expertise to resolve priority incidents and implement secure work systems.
• Ensure compliance with the client’s technological standards and processes.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, apply patches, hot‑fixes and software updates across servers.
• Coordinate incident handling to meet SLAs/KPIs and support backup, storage and virtualization platforms.
• Maintain documentation and support continuous improvement of the platform.

Required profile

• IT professional with a bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in managing large IT infrastructures.
• Proven experience in incident handling, SLA/KPI adherence and platform upgrades.
• English written and spoken proficiency is desirable.
• Relevant certifications (VMware, Linux, Windows) are a plus.

Required skills

• VMware suite: vSphere, vCenter, vCloud, View, vRealize, vSAN, NSX.
• Microsoft Hyper‑V.
• PowerShell scripting and ESXi command‑line troubleshooting.
• Backup solutions: VEEAM, VMware Data Protection.
• Server platforms: Cisco UCS, HP, Dell, IBM.
• Linux OS (RedHat, CentOS, Debian) administration.
• Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022, SCCM, WSUS.
• Active Directory in multi‑domain/forest environments.
• Storage management in VMware and Linux environments.
• Mass machine patching and script automation.
