Payroll Professional – Remote Freelance Survey Role

About the role

Prolific is seeking experienced payroll professionals to participate in a research project in partnership with a leading technology company. You will complete a series of online surveys that simulate real‑world payroll scenarios, providing your expertise on calculations, compliance, benefits, tax withholding and reporting. The role is fully remote, paid at $25 per hour, and offers flexible scheduling.

Key responsibilities

• Complete a series of surveys covering diverse payroll processes and scenarios.
• Apply your professional knowledge to answer questions on payroll calculations, compliance, benefits administration, and tax withholding.
• Provide feedback on the clarity and relevance of survey questions.
• Share your judgment on realistic payroll situations presented in the surveys.

Required profile

• Current involvement in payroll activities within Human Resources, Finance, or Accounting.
• Payroll responsibilities are part of your current role, regardless of job title.
• Familiarity with payroll calculations, compliance, benefits, tax withholding and reporting.
• Bonus: experience with payroll software, HRIS systems, or automated payroll workflows.
