Planner Engineer

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Planner Engineer to develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules for its mining and metals projects in Santiago. You will ensure that the full project scope is captured in the schedule, applying critical path methodology and supporting project milestones.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate the total project work scope across all entities, departments, and disciplines into a comprehensive schedule.
• Prepare and analyze scope, quantity, and cost comparisons between projects.
• Develop, evaluate, and review schedule durations for all discipline activities, supporting project milestones.
• Coordinate with all disciplines and stakeholders to define logical relationships, interdisciplinary constraints, and interfaces.
• Plan, organize, and execute schedule resource loading and leveling.
• Develop bulk commodity release and installation curves, as well as progress and workforce curves.
• Provide continuous schedule expertise to assist discipline planning and interfacing.
• Perform regular schedule updates and maintain alignment with project objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in schedule development and maintenance for large‑scale projects.
• Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical skills for evaluating scope, quantities, and cost data.
