Preschool Teacher – Early Years (EYFS)

About the role

Chartwell International School Chile is seeking a passionate Early Years educator to join its Preschool team. You will work with children aged 2 to 5, delivering play‑based, inquiry‑led learning within the EYFS framework and helping them build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity and independence.
• Support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, physical and language development.
• Promote early literacy, numeracy and communication skills through purposeful activities.
• Establish clear routines and expectations to create a safe, nurturing classroom environment.
• Guide positive behaviour with patience, consistency and respect.
• Build warm, trusting relationships with children and maintain open communication with families.
• Observe and assess each child’s progress, using findings to inform future planning.
• Design indoor and outdoor learning experiences that encourage imagination, problem‑solving and collaboration.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of early childhood development and the EYFS framework.
• Ability to design and implement play‑based, child‑centred learning activities.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (advanced or native level).
• Experience building positive partnerships with families.
• Commitment to fostering children’s well‑being, resilience and emotional literacy.
