Preschool Teacher – Early Years Foundation Stage

About the role

Chartwell International School Chile is looking for a passionate Early Years educator to join its preschool team. You will work with children aged 2 to 5, delivering play‑based, inquiry‑led learning within the EYFS framework. The role focuses on creating a safe, nurturing environment where each child can develop confidence and a love of learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity and independence.
• Support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, physical and language development.
• Establish clear routines and expectations to promote confidence and self‑regulation.
• Observe and assess each child’s progress, using findings to inform future planning.
• Build warm, trusting relationships with children and maintain open communication with families.
• Design indoor and outdoor activities that develop early literacy, numeracy and problem‑solving skills.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of early childhood development and the EYFS framework.
• Ability to create a safe, structured, and child‑centred learning environment.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English at an advanced or native level.
• Commitment to fostering positive behaviour, empathy and social skills.
