Primary Co-Teacher (Elementary)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Primary Co-Teacher to join our elementary classroom team. You will work alongside the lead teacher to deliver engaging, age‑appropriate lessons and foster a safe, inclusive learning environment for all students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that align with the school curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom that supports diverse learning needs.
• Use varied teaching methods and resources to address different learning styles.
• Assess, record, and report student progress regularly.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and their parents or guardians.
• Develop classroom routines that promote respect, responsibility, and positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and school leadership.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, parent‑teacher conferences, and school events.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
• Uphold school policies and maintain high standards of professionalism.
• Identify and support students with special educational needs.
• Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification or licensure for the relevant region.
• Additional training in special education, literacy, or curriculum development (desired).
• 1–3 years (or more) of experience teaching elementary‑aged children.
• Experience working with diverse student backgrounds and abilities.
• Familiarity with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
• Proven skills in lesson planning, assessment, and classroom management.
• Active participation in professional development and ongoing teacher training.
