Process Engineer – Mining Project

About the role
Bechtel is seeking a Process Engineer to support the Coroccohuayco mining expansion in the Espinar region of Cusco, Peru. The role involves field investigations, design studies, and technical coordination for large‑scale process and chemical engineering projects.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct field investigations and special studies for process/chemical design.
- Lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of process components and systems.
- Prepare original design layouts, detailed drawings, and specifications following Bechtel standards.
- Perform relief system design, including Pressure Safety Valve sizing, flare hydraulics, and radiation analysis.
- Carry out safety, environmental, and operability reviews and ensure compliance with engineering procedures.
- Support conceptual studies, design reports, and proposal preparation.
Required profile
- Degree in Chemical, Process, or related engineering discipline.
- Experience with large industrial or mining projects.
- Ability to coordinate complex technical issues and communicate with clients.
- Proficiency in preparing engineering documentation and specifications.
Required skills
- Process engineering methods and techniques.
