Project Accountant – Studies

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Project Accountant to support a variety of studies across Latin America. Based in Santiago, the role combines part‑time telework with regular on‑site collaboration, reporting to the Project Accounting Shared Services Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor invoice approvals and hold reports for agency and non‑agency accounts payable.
• Review expense reports and time cards for accuracy.
• Prepare EDPs and legal invoices for client billing.
• Perform account analysis and reconciliations.
• Assist with additional accounting activities as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent).
• 2‑5 years of relevant accounting experience (or 6‑9 years of broader work experience).
• Strong ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Customer‑service orientation, flexibility, and commitment to meeting deadlines.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Intermediate proficiency with accounting software such as Oracle or SAP.
