Project Expeditor

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Project Expeditor to support the planning, staffing and budgeting of expediting operations for critical mineral extraction projects in Santiago. The role ensures timely delivery of materials and services, mitigating schedule risks and supporting the company’s clean-energy initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, staff and budget expediting activities, distributing workload and monitoring assignments.
• Manage medium-to-high complexity supply orders, tracking manufacturing, inspection, submittals and dispatch.
• Coordinate with suppliers to obtain engineering data, monitor production schedules and shipment status.
• Evaluate supplier progress reports and production schedules against job-site requirements.
• Facilitate engineering review and approval of supplier-submitted data.
• Represent the activation team in project meetings and contribute to activation task planning.

Required profile

• Ability to work autonomously within established procedures and corporate tools.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple orders and track progress.
• Effective communication with suppliers, engineering, and project teams.
• Problem-solving mindset to address delays and ensure reliability of committed dates.
