Project Lawyer

About the role

Glencere is seeking a Project Lawyer to provide comprehensive legal support throughout the lifecycle of major projects. The role ensures contract management, regulatory compliance, risk assessment and dispute avoidance, safeguarding the company’s legal interests and enabling successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate project‑related agreements and commercial contracts.
• Support environmental assessment processes and sectoral permitting activities.
• Provide strategic legal guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
• Advise on permitting requirements, regulatory approvals and compliance initiatives.
• Coordinate with external counsel and ensure timely delivery of legal services.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks, strengthen contractual protections and facilitate stakeholder alignment.

Required profile

• LL.B. from an accredited Chilean university and admission to practice law in Chile.
• Minimum 7 years post‑qualification experience as an in‑house lawyer or external counsel supporting major projects in mining, energy, infrastructure or natural resources.
• Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating commercial and project contracts.
• Understanding of environmental law and permit regulations; LLM is an advantage.
• Upper‑intermediate English proficiency and strong cross‑cultural communication skills.
