Project Manager MEP - Data Center Construction

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for a Project Manager MEP for data center construction projects in Santiago. The role covers mechanical, electrical and plumbing coordination, including electromechanical and special installations, and involves direct day-to-day monitoring of the construction site.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze electromechanical and special installations and verify they meet project technical specifications and Mexican legislation norms
• Evaluate construction drawings, technical specifications and scope of works against Mexican, international and client standards
• Help develop construction schedules and cost estimates, contribute to WBS, cost and project reviews and support value engineering
• Take part in risk analysis and update the project risks matrix
• Apply safety standards and best practices, and inspect the fabrication and installation of piping and equipment
• Plan and execute checkout, pre-commissioning and commissioning, and plan and run work schedules
• Review contractor bids, clarify contractor questions and communicate daily site activities with client operations
• Prepare reports, attend weekly meetings and take part in design reviews

Required profile

• 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years as a Project Manager coordinating MEP design and construction on industrial, manufacturing or data center projects
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
• Fluent English and Spanish to lead meetings, write communications and reports, and lead client meetings
• Commissioning experience is required
