Project Manager – MEP for Data Center Construction

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead mechanical, electrical and plumbing activities on data‑center construction projects. The role involves ensuring all electromechanical installations meet technical specifications and applicable legislation while coordinating daily site operations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse electromechanical and special installations for compliance with project specifications and Mexican (or international) standards.
• Prepare and control reports, monitor contractor craftsmen qualifications and recommend improvements.
• Review construction drawings, technical specifications and scope of works; develop work breakdown structures, schedules and cost estimates.
• Contribute to risk analysis and maintain the project risk matrix.
• Implement safety standards, quality plans and best practices on site.
• Oversee installation, plant inspection, pre‑commissioning and commissioning of process, electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Facilitate design reviews, clarify contractor queries and evaluate contractor bids.
• Communicate daily with client operations, plan stoppages, and prepare weekly progress reports.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of construction and site support activities for MEP disciplines.
• Strong ability to analyse drawings, specifications and compare them against standards.
• Experience in developing schedules, cost estimates and supporting value‑engineering.
• Proficiency in risk analysis, safety implementation and quality management.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
