Retail Assistant Manager – French Speaking

About the role

Join Harding’s award‑winning cruise retail team as an Assistant Retail Manager. You will spend up to six months living onboard a cruise ship, supporting the Retail Manager in delivering memorable guest experiences while driving commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Retail Manager in leading an international, French‑speaking team.
• Coach and develop team members on selling techniques and service standards.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations across multiple product categories, including gifts, confectionery, duty‑free, luxury jewellery and premium watches.
• Organise in‑store events, product showcases and collaborations with brand and cruise‑line partners.
• Ensure operational excellence, inventory control and compliance with onboard retail policies.

Required profile

• Fluent in French (both spoken and written) and comfortable working with French‑speaking guests.
• Proven experience in retail leadership or supervisory roles.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment at sea.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on coaching and team motivation.
