Senior Analytics Engineer - Infor CloudSuite Distribution

About the role

A US-based outsourced software development company is hiring contractors to join a technology consulting firm focused on the wholesale distribution industry and the Infor CloudSuite Distribution ecosystem. The Senior Analytics Engineer leads the design, implementation and ongoing support of business intelligence solutions, owning the analytics stack from ERP data and data modeling to dashboards and reports for end users.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build data platforms in Microsoft Fabric and lead end-to-end Power BI implementations
• Establish analytics governance standards for clients
• Lead Infor Birst implementations, extensions and support, maintaining spaces, logical models, hierarchies, measures and security filters
• Extend and troubleshoot CSD dashboards and reports, resolving refresh, connector and performance issues
• Profile Infor CSD data, preserve raw data and handle change capture and deletes
• Ingest non-ERP data and map it to conformed dimensions, resolving inconsistencies during ingestion
• Monitor solutions with failure alerts, row counts, freshness checks and schema drift, and document recovery steps
• Build pipelines that transform ERP data into dimensional models, write and tune SQL, and implement incremental loads and data quality checks
• Support clients using Phocas with data feeds, mapping, model design and ERP integration
• Use AI tools to improve development, profiling, documentation and testing, and deliver conversational analytics
• Translate business needs into data requirements, write technical documentation and runbooks, train client power users and build reusable templates and accelerators

Required profile

• 10+ years in BI, analytics engineering or data warehousing, including client-facing or multi-business-unit delivery
• Strong Power BI expertise: data modeling, advanced DAX, Power Query/M, performance tuning, deployment management and row-level security
• Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience (lakehouses, warehouses, Dataflows Gen2, pipelines, semantic models)
• Advanced SQL and query tuning for large transactional tables
• ETL/ELT design, dimensional modeling (star schemas, conformed dimensions) and ERP data extraction and reconciliation
• Ability to turn ambiguous business needs into technical designs and explain them to non-technical stakeholders
• Upper-intermediate English and strong documentation skills
• Desirable: Azure data platform, Infor Birst, Infor CloudSuite Distribution, Phocas, Python/Spark, Git and CI/CD, Microsoft certifications, consulting or ERP partner experience
