Senior Contract Specialist

About the role

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services company with over 22,000 people in more than 60 countries, is looking for a Senior Contract Specialist in Santiago. The role suits a contracting professional with experience in real estate, industrial, mining or infrastructure projects, who wants to join a fast-paced, high-standard environment. The position sits within a procurement and supply chain function serving the MinAM assets.

Key responsibilities

• Create key category strategies with a 3+ year plan, working closely with the client's global procurement teams, and define mid- and long-term strategies with a global and regional perspective, including market analysis, should-cost and cost modelling.
• Develop relationships with internal business leaders to understand requirements, forecast demand and verify that contracts remain effective, and build collaborative relationships with suppliers.
• Identify and implement improvement initiatives in procurement categories, manage the portfolio and create synergies with other subfunctions.
• Lead sourcing and negotiation strategies using market intelligence and tools such as Chessboard analysis, clean sheeting, e-Auctions and TCO analysis.
• Ensure the category strategy is integrated across Purchasing, warehouse, inventory, logistics, COMEX, payments, A&I, Marketing and Operations to minimise inbound supply chain costs.
• Use AI to complement human effort, run supplier performance reviews, establish standardised routines with stakeholders and apply an end-to-end supply chain understanding.
• Generate action plans to achieve commercial and productivity KPIs for the client's operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience focused on supply chain management.
• Proven ability to influence and engage across functions and mine operations sites.
• Ability to analyse complex business processes, risk factors and control systems.
• Knowledge of materials management and logistics processes.
• Advanced Spanish and English, speaker and writer.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP, Office and contract management systems.
• Competence in financial evaluations and commercial project models.
