Senior Contract Specialist (Part‑Time, Hybrid)

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Senior Contract Specialist to support subcontract formation and administration for medium‑to‑complex contracts within its Mining & Metals projects. The role is part‑time telework with a hybrid schedule requiring three days on‑site per week in Santiago.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule and standard work processes for subcontract management.
• Lead preparation and review of bid request packages and develop project contract operating procedures.
• Manage assigned subcontracts, continuously monitor progress, and report potential financial or technical issues.
• Coordinate with operational staff on matters affecting contractual rights, obligations, and performance.
• Negotiate and administer moderately complex contract changes, securing settlements with customers.
• Ensure subcontract compliance with project requirements and maintain accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in subcontract formation and administration within construction or engineering projects.
• Strong analytical and forecasting abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid telework environment.
